​About us

Our work spans diverse areas, including the metabolic engineering of fast-growing cyanobacteria for enhanced CO₂ capture and sustainable bioproduction, metabolomics-based biomarker discovery for prognosis of complex diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular disorders, and bioprocess optimization using spent media analysis and dynamic modeling approach for the production of therapeutic proteins and enzymes. The lab combines strong conceptual foundations in mass spectrometry, synthetic biology, and bioprocess technology with state-of-the-art infrastructure. Supported by funding from DBT (Government of India), Praj Industries, and the Wadhwani Foundation (WRCB), our lab fosters a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment for research at the interface of biology and engineering.
